Donald Sutherland, the award-winning actor who graced the silver screen for decades, passed away on June 20, 2023, at the age of 88. Beyond his illustrious career, Sutherland was a devoted father to five children: Kiefer, Rachel, Roeg, Rossif, and Angus.
Kiefer Sutherland, the eldest son of Donald and his ex-wife, Shirley Douglas, was born in 1966. His twin sister, Rachel, shared the same birthdate. Donald named his son after American film director Warren Kiefer, who had collaborated with him on his debut feature film, Castle of the Living.
Sutherland's children inherited his love for the performing arts. Kiefer gained fame for his roles in the television series "24" and "The Designated Survivor." Roeg and Rossif Sutherland have established themselves as accomplished directors.
