Why New Man Utd Signing Manuel Ugarte Wont Make His Debut Against Liverpool After Completing 51m Signing From Psg

Why new Man Utd signing Manuel Ugarte won't make his debut against Liverpool after completing £51m signing from PSG

Uruguayan midfielder makes big-money move to Old Trafford

Manchester United have completed the signing of Manuel Ugarte from Paris Saint-Germain for a fee of £51 million.

The 21-year-old defensive midfielder has signed a five-year contract with the Red Devils and becomes Erik ten Hag's fifth signing of the summer following the arrivals of Tyrell Malacia, Christian Eriksen, Lisandro Martinez and Casemiro.

Uruguayan will not face Liverpool

However, Ugarte will not be available to make his debut for United against Liverpool on Monday night.

The Uruguayan is still awaiting a work permit and is therefore unable to play for United until he has been granted one.

Could make debut against Southampton

Ugarte could make his debut for United in their next Premier League match against Southampton on Saturday, August 27.
