Rosenborg reach Champions League semi-final

Norwegian club Rosenborg have reached the semi-finals of the Champions League for the first time in their history.

The Trondheim-based club defeated Real Madrid 3-1 in the quarter-finals on Wednesday night to secure their place in the last four.

Rosenborg took the lead through a stunning strike from Markus Henriksen in the 10th minute.

Real Madrid equalised through Cristiano Ronaldo in the 25th minute, but Rosenborg regained the lead through a penalty from Nicki Nielsen in the 35th minute.

The Norwegian side sealed their victory with a third goal from Pål André Helland in the 75th minute.

Rosenborg's success in this season's Champions League has been a surprise to many, but the Norwegian champions have shown that they are a force to be reckoned with.

They have now won six of their seven matches in the competition, and they have only conceded three goals in the process.

Rosenborg will now face either Liverpool or Manchester City in the semi-finals.

The first leg of the semi-final will be played on April 25, and the second leg will be played on May 2.
